Walter Abercrombie

Walter Augustus Abercrombie was born on September 26, 1959 in Waco, Texas. He is a former NFL running back and kick returner for the Pittsburgh Steelers from 1982 to 1987 and then for the Philadelphia Eagles in 1988. He was drafted out of Baylor in the first round of the 1982 NFL Draft. Abercrombie brought high hopes to the Steelers because of his stellar college career, which included a Baylor record 207 rushing yards in a game. His record has since been broken.
