Norm Willey

Norm “Wild Man” Willey played defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1950-1957. The 6-2 224 lbs. defensive end out of Marshall College was drafted in the 13th round of the 1950 NFL Draft. Norman Willey would today be called a pass rushing defensive end. He made the Pro Bowl 2 times following the 1955 and 1956 seasons.

Philadelphia Eagles 2008 NFL Draft Grade
The Eagles took Trevor Laws of Notre Dame with their first pick and I'm not sure he's a natural fit in a 4-3 defense. He played end in the 3-4 in college where he thrived, amassing 115 total tackles. They then went after wild card receiver DeSean Jackson who is a terror as a returner on special teams but lacks natural receiver abilities like running crisp routes. His return abilities however are well worth a second round pick in his defense.
