Will the Vikings Quarterback Please Stand Up?
Though Vikings named Tarvaris Jackson as this year’s starting quarterback, Brad Childress is refusing to name a starting quarterback for the week six game against the Chicago Bears.  Estimating that he’s about 90 percent healthy, Jackson told reporters that the pain from a recent hip injury won’t go away, adding that he would play through it.  Childress noted that nobody was 100 percent at this point in the season and that Jackson needed more than just “doing everything that’s on protocol.”  Jackson would have to be able to protect himself to get in the game on Sunday.

Peterson Or Running Back By Committee?
When the Minnesota Vikings drafted Adrian Peterson with their first pick (seventh overall) in the first round of the NFL draft, not many people were terribly surprised. There were a number of people who anticipated Peterson going within the first three picks which leads me to believe that the Vikings were quite lucky to pick him up.  With an incredible performance from running back Chester Taylor last year, there has been a lot of talk about which of the two running backs would lead the Vikings in rushing. Having rushed only three times for eighteen yards before leaving the game with a hip injury, it appears as though Chester Taylor will assume his old role as a backup running back again.

Is Jackson Ready to Lead Vikings?

The 20-17 loss last Sunday by the Minnesota Vikings to the Detroit Lions has prompted a number of questions surrounding the Vikings’ ability to end the 07-08 season with a winning record. As an avid Vikings' fan myself, it’s tough to talk about it but aside from the defense, there really is nothing going right for the Vikings. Having struggled for years with consistency in the quarterback spot, this year definitely will not be an exception.
